HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS: Trojans nip ’Cats on courts

DERRY — The Derry High School girls’ tennis team swept the singles matches to score a 3-2 win over Kittanning in a WPIAL Section 3-AA match.

Maria Palombo, Natalie Sarnese and Katie Enos won their singles matches in straight sets. Kittanning’s doubles teams of Tatum Cravener and Becca Walker, and Emily Fries and Lindsey Moore also netted wins.

Derry (1-1 overall), travels to Greensburg Salem on Thursday.

Soccer boosters seek referees

The Indiana Area Soccer Boosters are seeking qualified and dependable individuals to be trained as youth soccer referees.

Women’s league seeks bowlers

The Women’s Independent League at Mohawk Lanes is seeking bowlers.

The league bowls at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
