HS LACROSSE: IHS improves to 3-0 with thrilling last-minute win

PITTSBURGH — Indiana scored twice in the last minute of play to pull out a 12-11 victory over Vincentian Academy in a WPIAL Division II non-section lacrosse match at J.C. Stone Field on Wednesday.

Keldon Spicher scored the game-tying goal with 38 seconds left, and Ryan Watters scored off an assist from Ted Avolio in the final seconds for the game-winner as Indiana improved to 3-0.

Nick Cornell finished with four goals, Spicher had three, Andrew Wetzel and Watters each scored twice, and Scott Stoudt had one goal.

Sean Rhodes made 14 saves in goal, and Avolio had six ground balls.

n Indiana lost the junior varsity game, 5-4.

Scott Stoudt scored twice, and Dylan Stapleton and Brandon Dixon each had one goal.
