CHARLESTON, W.Va. — It took four tries, but Michael Ryan finally has his first win as a manager.

Ryan, a 1996 graduate of Indiana High School, managed the Class A West Virginia Power to a 6-5 win over the Asheville (N.C.) Tourists on Sunday in a South Atlantic League game.

West Virginia won it when first baseman Stetson Allie crushed a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning.

The Power, an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, lost the first three games of the season-opening series by a combined score of 22-7.

The Power play host to the Charleston RiverDogs in a three-game series today beginning at 7:05 p.m.
