LOCK HAVEN — IUP managed only six hits in a doubleheader and lost to Lock Haven, 3-0 and 6-5 in 10 innings, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference softball crossover games Monday.

Alexa Campbell, who was named the PSAC West Pitcher of the Week earlier in the day, took the loss in the opener. She went the distance, giving up three runs, all unearned, on four hits. She struck out three.

IUP (23-13) had only two hits, and Lock Haven scored all of its runs in the third inning.

In the second game, IUP rallied from a 5-1 deficit. The Crimson Hawks scored four runs on three hits and two errors to forge a 5-5 tie in the sixth. Mary Ward struck the big blow with a two-run double.

Lock Haven (18-23) threatened to win the game in the bottom of the ninth, but reliever Tara Senn pitched out of a bases-loaded, two-out jam. In the 10th, however, Lock Haven used an infield single with the bases loaded to pull out the win.

IUP plays host to Clarion on Wednesday.
