McDonald's wins Little League game
McDonald’s defeated Delaney, 9-6, in an Indiana Little League baseball game at Indiana Regional Medical Center Field.
Ewing Greenhill stroked a pair of homers and knocked in four runs for McDonald’s. Greenhill also earned the win. Axel Kovalchick and Luke Thomas each had three hits.
Ryan Dixson and Brent Johnson each added two hits and two RBIs for Delaney.
Gilgal defeats Grace Methodist
Gilgal Presbyterian defeated Grace Methodist II, 22-8, in an Indiana County Church League softball game Friday.
Bill Gasior led Gilgal Presbyterian by going 5-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI. Ben Harley, Aaron Black and Dan Rupert each added four hits and two RBIs. Winning pitcher Jeff Cribbs went 3-for-4 with six RBIs.
Andrew Mack and Chris Hudock had two hits apiece for Grace Methodist II.
NC seniors named all-stars
Northern Cambria seniors Alex Atkins, Jeff Hogan and Nick Lee were named to the Mid-State Boys’ Volleyball League all-star team Friday.
Atkins is a middle hitter, Hogan is an outside hitter, and Lee is a setter. Hogan and Lee were named to the team for the second straight season.
Baldwin fires hole-in-one
SPRING CHURCH — Chip Baldwin fired a hole-in-one at The Links at Spring Church on May 8.
Baldwin used a 9-iron to ace No. 12, a 160-yard hole.
Marion Center sets camps
MARION CENTER — The Marion Center Basketball Boosters will hold a summer camp for boys and girls from 9 a.m. to noon June 17 to 20.
The camp is for players entering grades 2 through 7.
Marion Center coaches and players will be the instructors. The cost is $65.
Registration will be held on Monday, June 17, at 8:30 a.m.
Additionally, the Marion Center Basketball Boosters will hold Drills & Skills sessions in June and July.
The varsity girls’ basketball team will run drills for students in grades 2 through 6.
The dates are: June 25, July 2, 9 and 16 (Tuesdays) from 7 to 8 p.m.; June 27, July 11 and 18 (Thursdays) from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Players may register on the first session on June 25.
