KOVACIK INSURANCE 10, WALBECK INSURANCE 0: Kovacik Insurance plated four runs in each of the first two innings and ran its record to 17-0 with a lopsided win over Walbeck Insurance at First Commonwealth Field.

The game was shortened to six innings due to the mercy rule.

Omar Ward threw a three-hitter to earn the win. He struck out 12 and walked one.

Ryan Shirley singled twice to power the Giants.

Walbeck’s Nate Davis struck out one and surrendered eight hits in a complete-game effort.

Walbeck Insurance (7-9) visits Marion Center today, and Kovacik Insurance travels to Marion Center on Monday.


I-MEDICAL 11, MARION CENTER 0: I-Medical allowed just one hit and scored nine runs in the last two innings to blank Marion Center in a game that was shortened to five innings in Punxsutawney.

Caleb Smith led I-Medical with two hits and three RBIs. Trenton Stouffer added two hits and two RBIs.

Canaan Knox struck out six in five innings to pick up the win.

Marion Center (7-8) plays host to Walbeck Insurance today, and I-Medical (13-4) travels to S.W. Jack on Wednesday.


INDIANA LIONS 6, WALBECK INSURANCE 3: In a game played Wednesday, Indiana Lions topped Walbeck Insurance.

Taylor Hudzicki hit a three-run double in the Lions’ five-run third inning. He also had two singles and four RBIs.

Winning pitcher Trajan Jones added a double and an RBI, and Ian Helsel hit two singles.

Corey Cavalier took the loss, striking out two and walking three.

Both teams play today. Indiana Lions (10-6) plays at Kovacik Insurance, and Walbeck Insurance (7-9) visits Marion Center.
