Hoodlebug Fest 2017

Musicians from the Homer-Center High School marching band took part in the Hoodlebug Fest parade.

• The sixth annual Tractor and Equipment Show and Car Cruise, sponsored by the Brush Valley Antique Iron and Power Club, will be held at Brush Valley Park. An antique tractor display, car cruise, kid’s pedal tractor pull, games, refreshments and a parade are scheduled.

• The Hoodlebug Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 25 Church St., Homer City. A parade, live entertainment, ethnic food booths, crafts, a bicycle poker run and a kids’ zone are planned.

• A Yard Sale hosted by Bella Spa and Beauty LLC, 1070 Wayne Ave., White Township, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clothes, household items, artwork and more will be on sale.

• The Winner Winner Chicken Dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Chevy Chase Community Center, 640 N. Fifth Ave., White Township. The menu includes chicken, baked potato bar, vegetable, dessert and beverage. A basket raffle is planned. For information, call (724) 463-0674.

• The 1938 production of “You Can’t Take It With You” begins at 1 p.m. at the Jimmy Stewart Museum, 835 Philadelphia St. The movie stars Stewart, Jean Arthur and Lionel Barrymore in a story about what happens when Alice Sycamore, (Arthur) agrees to marry Tony Kirby (Stewart), and invites his wealthy parents over for dinner. • The Hoodlebug 5K Run & Fun Walk begins at 4:30 p.m. at Floodway Park, Homer City The race features a fast-flat course through the streets of Homer City and Center Township with the last mile on the Hoodlebug Trail before turning back onto Main Street for the downhill run to the finish. • The Rainbow Diamond Glass Club will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 500 Water St. Audrey McNutt, of the Keystone Doll Club, will present a program about dolls from the 1800s. The “60s 70s 80s: Artist Legacy of IUP” will open at the University Museum on the first floor of Sutton Hall on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus.
