NIT BASKETBALL: Duquesne women fall to Michigan
MICHIGAN 68, DUQUESNE 52: The season ended Monday night for the Duquesne women with a loss to Michigan in the second Round of the Women’s NIT, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Orsi Szecsi and Wumi Agunbiade played their final game with the Dukes, and scored 16 and 13 points respectively.
April Robinson added 13 for the Dukes (20-13). Agunbiade recorded a career-high six assists.
Michigan’s Cyesha Force, a second-team All-Big Ten selection, recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
Shannon Smith and Siera Thompson added 12 points each for the Wolverines (20-13).
Smith also had a game-high seven assists.
The four Duquesne seniors — Agunbiade, Szecsi, Raegan Moore and Oditte Odisho — finished their career tied as the winningest class in program history, with 88 victories.
