The recent sale of an apartment building and a set of rental properties has been logged at the Indiana County Court House.
Among real estate transfers published recently in The Indiana Gazette was the $800,000 sale of five buildings from Damen Inc., President James Cavalancia, of 2 Whites Woods Trail, White Township, to McAnulty Real Estate LLC, members Daniel A. McAnulty and Amanda L. McAnulty, of 22 Overlook Drive, White Township.
The flagship of the sale is an apartment building at 122 N. Sixth St., just north of a Delaney Chevrolet auto dealership sales lot. The building houses six apartments on three floors.
Individual prices for the properties were not listed and all were described in a single deed filed at the Indiana County Register of Wills, Recorder of Deeds and Clerk of Orphans Court office.
The other parcels, all within blocks of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus, are numbered in sequence on the deed:
• “Second parcel,” a two-story duplex house at 133-135 S. 10th St.
• “Third parcel,” a two-story duplex house at 137-139 S. 10th St.
• “Fourth parcel,” a house on the northeast corner of School and S. 10th streets
• “Fifth parcel,” a two-story multi-unit house — according to the deed — bearing the addresses of 919, 921 and 939 School St.
As seen from School Street, the fourth parcel has only the 919 and 921 addresses.
The structure identified as the fifth parcel is numbered 145 facing South 10th Street and 139 at a rear entrance along School Street.
The sale was recorded May 2, along with the payment of taxes, including $4,000 each to the coffers of the Indiana Area School District and Indiana Borough. The local bodies collect a tax of 0.5 percent of the sale price of transferred properties.
