Flu shot clinic

June Stewart of the VNA gave a flu shot to Joanne Bliss, of Indiana.

Aging Services Inc. and the Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana County will be holding flu shot clinics beginning Nov. 1.

VNA will offer two formulas, Fluzone High Dose 65 and regular dose flu vaccine (for anyone over 9 years old).

The nurse will ask which formula you want so you are certain to get the vaccine that works best for you.

Please bring your insurance cards. VNA can bill Medicare Part B, Medicare HMO’s: Security Blue, UPMC for Life, Gateway Medicare Assured, Advantra and UMWA “The Retirement Funds” for seasonal flu vaccine.

The fee for a private pay shot is $20 for those without insurance or when insurance will not cover a public clinic.

For more information, call the VNA at (724) 463-6340 and ask for June Stewart.
