NBA: Kaman will play with Lakers
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Chris Kaman is headed back to Los Angeles, this time with the Lakers.
The 7-foot free agent center who spent the first eight years of his career with the Los Angeles Clippers said on Twitter that he had agreed to join the Lakers.
The deal is reportedly for one year at $3.2 million.
Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak later issued a statement through the team saying Los Angeles has been negotiating with Kaman and intends to sign him.
• NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Knicks signed first-round draft pick Tim Hardaway Jr. to a contract.
Hardaway Jr. was the 24th selection in the draft and played at the University of Michigan where he averaged 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 107 games and helped lead the Wolverines to the NCAA championship game last season.
He is the son of five-time NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway Sr.
