Nathaniel James Deemer McNeely, 3-months-old, of South Bend Township, the son of Julie Deemer and Christopher McNeely, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Nathaniel was born on May 24, 2013, in East Franklin Township.

Survivors include his mother, Julie Deemer, of Shelocta; his father, Christopher McNeely, of Ford City; three brothers: Christian and Nicholas McNeely and Issac Deemer, all at home; maternal grandparents, John and Peggy (Connor) Deemer, of South Bend Township; paternal grandmother, Vicki Sue John, of Ford City; maternal great-grandparents, Frank (Sara) Deemer, of Kiski Township, and Glenn (Wanda) Hess, of North Carolina; paternal great-great-grandmother, Freda Houser, of NuMine; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, South Bend Township, with Pastor Craig Lindahl officiating. Everyone is to meet at the church.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, South Bend Township.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Nathaniel’s memory to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, One Children’s Hospital Drive, Central Plant, Floor 3, 4401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224-1342.
