Jack E. Stancombe Sr., 67, of Indiana, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
A son of Walter "Lefty" and Fannie E. Kerr Stancombe, he was born May 31, 1944, in Indiana.
Mr. Stancombe was a graduate of Indiana High School. He had been employed at Season-All and S&T Bank.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Red Barn Sportsman Club, Club Savoy, American Legion in Homer City and the VFW, Moose and Eagles in Indiana.
He is survived by four children: Lori E. Stancombe, Indiana; Becky S. Zerfoss and husband George, Nanty Glo; Wendy K. Eckenrod and husband Darren, Homer City; and Jack E. Stancombe Jr., Ernest; four brothers: Ted Stancombe and Robert Stancombe, both of Indiana; William Stancombe, Parkwood; and Richard Stancombe, Indiana; four sisters: Margaret Shirley, Ernest; Sally Jobe, Indiana; Patricia McBlaine, Home; and Bonnie Toldi, Clarksburg; 14 grandchildren: Cody, Kory, Brieann, Keegan, Ryan, Skye, Alyssa, Madison, Jordan, Logan, Laken, Katie, Lexus and Reisse; one great-granddaughter, Zoey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Stancombe and Timothy Stancombe, and a sister, Ruth Mottern.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Robinson-Lytle Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Ronald Sexton officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
