Letter to the Editor: Complaints about transit service
I had an appointment one morning for Dr. Nesper at 9 a.m. I had called the transit and ordered the transit to get me there on time.
When I tried to call, I got the answering service so I got no satisfaction. The transit had not come by 8:45 a.m., and I called my neighbor and asked her if she would take me to Dr. Nesper’s for my appointment. She said she would, and, according to the clock in her car, it was 8:47 a.m. when we left Clairvaux Commons.
She told me that it was 8:55 a.m. when she got back to Clairvaux Commons. The transit was there, and she told the woman she had taken me to the appointment because they had not come to pick me up. The driver was not at all nice to her.
I called the transit and canceled my pickup, but did not tell them to cancel my home trip. When I finished at Dr. Nesper’s, I called the transit and they told me that I had canceled the trip. I did not do so and was really provoked when they told me that I had. I was left with no choice except to call my neighbor once more on a rainy day to come and get me. It would seem that our lottery is doing no one any good as far as transportation is concerned or at least not in Indiana County.
My brother-in-law did not know they had changed the schedule and found his daughter had missed the bus to Indiana so he had to bring her to work.
