Letter to the editor: My dad would make a great state rep
I have never seen my dad, Kevin Freeberg, happier than when he is recalling memories of helping kids during his 34-year tenure as an Indiana schoolteacher. That is, until he joined the campaign for state representative of the 62nd District.
He isn’t just happy; everything he does is filled with purpose and earnestness, because he is working for others — not for himself.
My dad joined this campaign because he felt like he was in a position to help make a difference in the lives of people throughout Indiana County. He wants more than anything to help people. He wants our schools to have more funding. He wants to lower our property taxes in the hopes we will be better able to support small businesses. He wants to make our lives better.
My dad has learned so much since he has begun this journey. He has gained the support of so many kind people who want, just like he does, to make Indiana County a better place. My dad would do anything he could for us, and I know he would bring that same selfless dedication to representing the 62nd District.
Please stop by the lower level of the Atrium in downtown Indiana sometime. My dad is here every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Even if you don’t agree with him on some of his positions, he would love to talk to you and learn something from you.
Kevin Freeberg is one of the most dedicated teachers Indiana County has seen, and I know he would be the best state representative the 62nd District has had in a long time. He’s a patient and kindhearted educator, a selfless public servant and a really, really great dad.
