Letter to the Editor: Project defies common sense
This is concerning the IASD proposed “mega-school.”
Others have presented well-reasoned, factual arguments against closing neighborhood elementary schools and building a large new school.
Given the recent faculty cuts and existing debt, incurring $32 million more in debt seems questionable at best. It will increase the tax burden on an area that simply can’t afford it. We all care about the future of education in Indiana, but this project defies common sense. Vote for Ute Lowery, Barbara Barker, Julia Trimarchi Cuccaro, Tom Harley or Ken Ault on May 16.
