BLAIRSVILLE — Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services announced this week the acquisition of Black Mountain PT.
It becomes the Blairsville-based company’s 100th location in the United States.
Black Mountain PT provides a full array of physical therapy services to meet the needs of residents in the Black Mountain, Asheville and Swannanoa Valley areas of North Carolina.
Clifford Shulman has led Black Mountain PT for 11 years and will continue to helm the operation, which also includes Jennifer Lias, Sidney Tavss and Cecilia Pepera providing care.
“Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services was a logical next step for me and Black Mountain PT because they understand that patient care should be efficient, purposeful and cost effective,” Shulman said in a news release. “I love that the company was built by PTs for PTs. It shows their focus is the same as ours — helping patients return to a healthy, pain free lifestyle.”
“We are excited to add a facility with a dedicated team and a proven track record of exceeding the expectations of their patients,” Dave Angelo, chief operating officer of Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services, said in the news release. “Cliff and his team bring the expertise and experience that matches what Phoenix offers at all our locations.”
