The White Township Planning Commission made quick work of four final site plans in a half-hour meeting Tuesday night.
One involves a long-discussed update at the Indiana Area School District’s East Pike Elementary building.
Assistant Township Manager Chris Anderson said it involves expanding the open space in front of the cafeteria/gymnasium and auditorium by about 3,000 square feet and forming a new entrance.
Administrative offices are involved as are security needs, Anderson said.
The Pittsburgh office of Maser Consulting, of Pittsburgh, developed that plan.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania received approval for a plan to pave an existing gravel lot and develop a stormwater management plan for Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex parking. It is located along Pratt Drive and Wayne Avenue, across Marsh Run from the Hilton Garden Inn.
The plan as developed by Lennon Smith Souleret Engineering Inc., of Coraopolis, also includes a pedestrian bridge.
The commission also approved Scordo Inc.’s plan for adding 9.9 acres to an existing parcel at 185 Church Ave. Botsford Surveying Inc., of Marion Center, developed that plan.
And it approved the Indiana County Humane Society’s plan to add to their existing building along Airport Road for a crematory.
Thomas R. Harley Architects developed that plan.
