Police arrest handcuffs 02

The Indiana Borough Police Department announced a series of arrests and/or warrants stemming from recent criminal investigations.

Most involve allegations of drug-related activity. An exception is a case involving the theft of a tile saw on Sept. 9 and its sale to a local resale business.

IBPD said Allen Michael Kimmel, 37, of Indiana, and Danielle L. McGhen, 34, of Commodore, were charged via criminal complaints with theft and receiving stolen property. Kimmel is in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bond awaiting a preliminary hearing Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. before Indiana Magisterial District Judge Guy B. Haberl.

A record for the latest charges against McGhen is not posted on the state courts website but her status is listed as “inactive” for a series of traffic citations from last spring for which guilty pleas were registered with Clymer Magisterial District Judge Christopher S. Welch.

Another “inactive” record belongs to Taylor Anthony Mackowski, 24, of Erie, who as of Oct. 30 is facing a preliminary hearing before Haberl on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Borough police said Mackowski was in possession of 10 pounds of marijuana during a March 11 investigation involving IBPD, state police, the FBI and the Postal Inspector’s office.

The others cited by borough police, in chronological order of their scheduled hearing dates before Haberl, are:
