One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 2:19 p.m. Thursday on Route 286 and Taylorsville Road.
State police at Indiana said Karen Sardone, 48, of Coral, was driving west on Route 286 when she lost control of her car and it crossed into the eastbound lane and clipped a fender of a pickup truck driven by Mike Gima, 58, of Clymer.
Sardone’s car spun around and traveled backwards, hit a mailbox and overturned, police said.
Police said Sardone was injured and taken by ambulance to Indiana Regional Medical Center, where a spokeswoman today said she was treated and released. Gima was not hurt.
Jason Trinkley, 18, of Carrolltown, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:15 a.m. Friday on Route 553.
State police at Indiana said Trinkley was driving east when he looked down and didn’t realize his car was going off the road. His car hit a utility pole and a small tree, according to reports.
Police said he was injured and taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman today said Trinkley was treated and released.
