Young Township, Jefferson County

State police reported two people suffered minor injuries at 2:06 p.m. Friday when cars driven by Clair Schrock, of Punxsutawney, and James Downey, of Kane, McKean County, collided on Route 119 at Alliance Drive.

Schrock, 94, and Jessica Kosko, 29, of Pittsburgh, a passenger riding with Downey, did not immediately require medical treatment, according to troopers at Punxsutawney.

Bell Township, Jefferson County

Two people were injured when three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction accident at 10:57 a.m. Saturday on Route 36 at Elderberry Hill Road, according to state police.

Jeff Turner, 29, of Mahaffey, and a 5-year-old boy in the vehicle Turner was driving were transported by Jefferson County EMS to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

Troopers identified Nikki Adams and Lois Gomola, both of Punxsutawney, as the drivers of the other vehicles.
