Rayne Township

Two women suffered moderate injuries at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, when the vehicle they were traveling in left the road and overturned on Route 85, state police reported.

A car driven by Crystal L. Wilson, 29, of Marion Center, struck an embankment, and as it overturned, passenger Jacqueline C. Metcalf, 30, of Waynesburg, was ejected, police said.

The Plumville fire department and Citizens’ Ambulance Service also responded.


Center Township

A car driven by Jamie L. Painter, 37, of Shelocta, struck a mailbox along Graham Road at 8:01 p.m. Friday, according to state police.

Police did not report any injuries.


Bell Township, Westmoreland County

State police reported a car driven by Leah Wuchevich, of North Apollo, hit a pine tree and a garage at 4768 Route 981 at 2:25 a.m. Sunday. Investigators did not identify the property owner.

Troopers at Kiski Valley reported no one was injured.


Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County

Five people were injured in a rear-end crash at 11:15 a.m. Sunday on Route 85 near Township Road 746, according to state police at Kittanning.

A sport utility vehicle driven by Deborah Osikowicz, 61, of Punxsutawney, hit the back of an SUV driven by John Pershing, 32, of West Elizabeth, Allegheny County, police reported, and Pershing’s vehicle traveled down an embankment and overturned.

According to police, both drivers and their passengers — David Osikowicz, 42, of Punxsutawney; and Susan Pershing, 43, and Heidi Pershing, 17, both of West Elizabeth — were treated at the scene by paramedics from Citizens’ Ambulance Service.

Rural Valley firefighters also responded to the scene.
