One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 11:15 a.m. Thursday on Route 119 at Devinney Hollow Road.

State police at Indiana said Arthur Speranza, of Black Lick, drove from Devinney Hollow Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Route 119. His vehicle was hit by a vehicle driven by Matthew Klingensmith, of Manorville.

Police said Speranza was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was treated and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

State police at Indiana said a pickup truck driven by Charles Shields, 61, of Pleasant Unity, hit the rear of a larger truck driven by Walter Burba, 61, of Glen Campbell, as Burba was traveling east on Route 22 at 9:59 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said neither driver was hurt.


No injuries were reported when two vehicles hit the same deer at 5:50 p.m. Friday on Route 553 north of Spaulding Road.

State police at Indiana said Kristy McLaughlin, 19, of Landenberg, was driving east when her car hit a deer. The deer was thrown into the opposite traffic lane and hit the windshield of a westbound car driven by Theresa Parks, 56, of Penn Run.
