State police at Greensburg said one motorist was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 12:06 p.m. Monday on Route 982.

Police said Andrew Weiss Jr., 73, of Derry, was traveling north on Route 982 and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Pittsburgh Street. His vehicle hit a car on Pittsburgh Street driven by Jordan Randall, 20, of Indiana.

Police said Randall had a minor injury.


State police at Indiana said Melanie Chronosky, 28, of Indiana, attempted to pass an eastbound truck on Route 422 after a legally posted passing zone ended. Her car hit the truck driven by Donald Rosenberger, 51, of Ford City.

Police said Chronosky was hurt, but the severity of her injuries was unknown. The collision happened at 7:14 a.m. Monday.
