Coronor lists cause of death in crash
PLUMCREEK TOWNSHIP — Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers said an autopsy Saturday determined that crash victim Tyler Kulp, 27, of Laureldale, Berks County, died of blunt force trauma to his head, thorax and abdomen.
Kulp, an Indiana University of Pennsylvania music major, died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Route 422 near Elderton.
State police at Kittanning said an eastbound car driven by Stephen Caulfield, of Waterford, Westmoreland County, crossed the centerline of the highway at 9:31 a.m. and hit the westbound station wagon driven by Kulp.
Caulfield was not injured, according to police.
