BURNSIDE TOWNSHIP — A Glen Campbell man was killed late Monday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on Route 219 near Rager Road, authorities said.

Clearfield County Coroner Michael Morris said Ronald Stimach was pronounced dead of blunt force injuries at the scene by Deputy Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder.

State police at Punxsutawney reported Stimach, 58, was the driver of a truck that traveled off the right side of the highway and hit a tree at 5:25 p.m.

A passenger, Richard McCausland, 52, of Glen Campbell, was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, where a spokeswoman said this morning he was in fair condition.

Morris reported no autopsy was planned but that his office would order a routine battery of toxicology tests for Stimach.

The Westover and Cherry Tree fire departments assisted police at the scene of the wreck.
