Fire destroys mobile home
A fire destroyed a vacant mobile home off Route 286 in Montgomery Township on Wednesday night.
The fire was reported around 10:45 p.m., and when firefighters arrived, the home already was engulfed in flames, said Glen Campbell Volunteer Fire Company Chief Dave Lucas. In addition to his department, firefighters from Commodore and Cherry Tree were summoned.
Firefighters remained at the scene for between an hour and an hour and a half, Lucas said. No one was injured. Lucas said the blaze appears to be suspicious because there were no utilities connected to the home. A state police fire marshal is investigating, he said.
