by By The Indiana Gazette on January 16, 2014 8:10 AM

A preliminary hearing for Jack Edmundson Jr., the suspect accused in the Dec. 31 shooting death of Frank Petro in a Tunnelton gun shop, has been postponed.

Edmundson, 43, who police say suffered a gunshot wound of his right thigh during a struggle with Petro, in the gun shop, remains under hospital treatment for his wound, said District Attorney Patrick Dougherty.

Edmundson, of Saltsburg, was admitted to UMPC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh and has been under round-the-clock watch by law enforcement officials since being charged in Petro’s death.

The charges have been filed through Indiana district court. A preliminary hearing had been scheduled for this morning but will be rescheduled, according to the district attorney.

Online court records show no new date has been set, and that no attorney has been named to represent Edmundson.
