Indiana man charged with rape
An Indiana man was jailed over the weekend on charges that he raped a woman in an apartment in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street, Indiana Borough police reported.
Rory Green, 33, is accused of assaulting the woman at 4 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release, and was arrested later in the day. Officials at Indiana Regional Medical Center notified police when the woman sought treatment at 3:30 p.m., and investigators obtained a warrant for Green’s arrest from District Judge George Thachik, of Clymer.
Online court records show Green was taken before Thachik for preliminary arraignment at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on felony charges of forcible rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault. Bond was set at $50,000. Green is scheduled to appear June 25 for a preliminary hearing.
