DOYLESTOWN (AP) — A suburban Philadelphia jury returns Monday to resume considering the case of a high school choir director accused of inappropriately touching students and making sexually suggestive remarks.

The Bucks County Courier Times said the Bucks County panel deliberated for more than nine hours over two days before reporting that they were deadlocked on two of the 16 counts against William Tennent High School choir director Tyrone Dinkins. The judge sent them home for the weekend.

Investigators said students said Dinkins had groped them, sent sexual messages via text, discussed sexual dreams and asked one to perform a “sexy” dance.

Dinkins said he was just trying to show the girls that they were cared for. He said his actions were not sexual and his comments were merely playful.
