A Seward man was fatally injured Sunday when a car he was working on fell on him.

The victim was identified as Evan Stromberg, 33. The accident happened in St. Clair Township, Westmoreland County.

Paul Cycak, chief deputy coroner for Westmoreland County, said Stromberg was home alone while working on the car Sunday. The vehicle was up on jack stands when it drifted forward and fell on Stromberg's neck and chest. Stromberg's body was discovered by his wife, Cycak said. The coroner's office was notified at 4:17 p.m.

Cycak said Stromberg was pronounced dead at the scene from asphyxiation.
