Man pleads guilty to lesser charges
HOMER CITY — A Northern Cambria man pleaded guilty to reduced charges after being accused of a narcotics violation in the Homer City district court.
Timothy Shilling, 45, had been charged with possession of a controlled substance at the state police station in Indiana on Dec. 4, when investigators said Shilling reported that his wife had tried to drug him. Shilling brought with him a substance that he said he found in a cabinet in his home.
In a criminal complaint filed Feb. 3, police wrote that Shilling’s claim was unfounded.
At a preliminary hearing on May 12, prosecutors withdrew the drug possession charge in exchange for Shilling’s guilty plea to a summary count of disorderly conduct. Online court records show Shilling paid a fine and court costs totaling $451.
