NuMINE — One man was displaced but no one injured in a fire that broke out around 11:45 p.m. Thursday night in NuMine, Armstrong County.

Bill Rupert, first assistant chief for the Rural Valley Volunteer Fire Department, said the blaze began in a garage at 1420 Main St., and spread to the trailer.

The cause remains under investigation.

Rupert said the trailer was owned by Ronald Altman, but was rented by Richard Faber, who was home but was able to escape. Neither man had insurance on the building, said Rupert.

Rupert said Plumville and Dayton fire companies also responded, and no one was injured fighting the blaze. He said the cause remains under investigation.

All units were back to their stations by 3 a.m., he said.
