Penns Manor issues lockdown

KENWOOD — The elementary and junior-senior high school buildings in the Penns Manor School District were placed in a lockdown this morning but school administrators were unavailable to explain why.

A receptionist in the district’s administration office confirmed at 9:30 a.m. that a lockdown existed as a precautionary measure. All students were safe, she said, but added administrators were busy and could not comment on the lockdown situation.
