Marion Center -- Child luring :: State police at Indiana are investigating an incident of attempted child luring at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Marion Center Area High School.

Police said the mother of an autistic 4-year-old boy saw a man try to lure the boy into woods. The mother yelled and the man fled.

Police described the suspect as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, who is thin, bald and clean-shaven. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

White Township

Copper theft

About 50 feet of copper ground wire and two copper bus bars were stolen from an AT&T cellphone tower on June 27, state police at Indiana said today.

The stolen copper is valued at about $300, police said.

Bike stolen

Marian McCreary, of Indiana, told state police at Indiana that a yellow Mongoose 21-speed mountain bike was stolen from 732 N. Fourth St. at about 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

TV taken

An RCA 52-inch flat screen TV owned by Jay McCreary, of Indiana, was stolen between June 15 and July 3 from 733 N. Fifth Ave., according to state police at Indiana.

Green Township

Theft from vehicle

Someone broke a side window of a car owned by Christopher Fetterman, of Clymer, while it was parked at 3711 Purchase Line Road between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday, according to state police at Indiana.

A camera belonging to Erica Fetterman, of Clymer, and a purse and money belonging to Sarah Small, of Gipsy, were taken.

Fuel stolen

Someone stole about 25 gallons of diesel fuel from a tank at a logging site along Zenith Road Wednesday or Thursday, according to state police at Indiana.

Daniel Fisher, of Punxsutawney, was the victim.

Rayne Township

Van damaged

A window was smashed on a Tri County Transportation van parked at 282 Snyder Drive between midnight and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to state police at Indiana.
