James Valenti, of Indiana, was charged Sunday by Indiana Borough police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct in connection with a reported domestic dispute at 8:47 p.m. that day in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street.
Valenti, 35, was held at the Indiana County Jail until Monday, when he posted $5,000 bail, court records show.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for today at the Indiana district court.
Kevin Delone, 19, of King of Prussia, was charged April 30 by Indiana Borough police with possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking at 12:05 a.m. April 27 in Giant Eagle Express, 435 S. Seventh St.
A store security officer told police that Delone consumed alcohol in a restroom, according to a news release.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 5 in the Indiana district court.
State police reported that someone stole various car parts and other scrap metal from land owned by Dale Herwig, of Elyria, Ohio, along Route 403, just north of Campbell’s Salvage yard.
The scrap material was hauled away between 10 a.m. May 1 and 9 a.m. Thursday by someone driving a white Dodge Dakota truck, according to a report.
Troopers set the loss at $1,290.
Derry Township, Westmoreland County
A 20-year-old man from Torrance “charged” at a 52-year-old man at 2:25 p.m. Monday in Building No. 13 along Grove Road at the Torrance State Hospital complex, resulting in the older man needing to restrain the younger man, state police at Greensburg reported.
Investigators withheld their names and reported that charges have yet to be filed.
Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County
Samantha Muldowney, of Saltsburg, told state police that a man she knows forged her signature on the title papers for a motorcycle at Hudson’s Auto, 161 Tunnelton Road, on May 25.
Troopers at Kiski Valley reported the investigation is under way and charges have not yet been filed.
