False identification

Andre Martin Chappelle Jr., 22, of Brookhaven, was arrested on a warrant out of Philadelphia around 4:21 p.m. Thursday at 327 S. 13th St., Indiana Borough police reported.

Police said he provided false identification, and that after they determined who he was, they found he was wanted. Police did not specify why he was asked to identify himself.

He was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement and tampering with evidence and was held in the Indiana County Jail, according to police.


Indiana Borough police cited seven people with trespassing on the roof of Henry Hall at 708 Philadelphia St. around 3:59 p.m. Saturday, according to police reports.

Cited were: Claire Hoover, 20, of Pittsburgh; Gary Hunt, 20, of Doylestown; Steven Pantal, 19, of Willow Grove; Julia Caccavella, 20, of Yardley; Mary Stranix, 20, of Doylestown; William Pratt, 21, of Chantilly, Va.; and Andrew Wander, 19, of Yardley.

Underage drinking

Tory Darrell Hardy, 19, of Coatesville, and Joshua Daniel Beck, 19, of Apollo, were cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness around 1 a.m. Sunday at 435 S. Seventh St., Indiana Borough police reported.

Resisting arrest

Indiana Borough police reported Diane Morales, 18, of West Grove, was arrested after resisting when police approached her after she threw a beer bottle around 11:19 p.m. Saturday at 435 S. Seventh St., according to police reports.

Police said she was also in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

She faces charges of resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana, underage drinking, scattering rubbish and violating the open container ordinance, according to police.


Criminal mischief

Someone cut two holes in a fence behind a Penelec storage area between Monday and Thursday, state police in Indiana reported. It was not known whether anything was stolen.

Retail theft

Georgia Mink, 20, of Indiana, was charged with retail theft around 5:10 p.m. Tuesday at Walmart, state police in Indiana reported.


Theft attempt

A Rossiter woman told police that she found a man she knew inside her vehicle around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at her home at 170 Smyerstown Road, and that her CB radio was not where it should have been, state police in Punxsutawney reported.

Police said the woman, Melody Dubose, thought the man may have been stealing the radio. He walked away when confronted, police reported.

The investigation is ongoing.



Someone stole three steel rollers from the parking lot area of Finzer Roller Inc., 6850 Route 119 South, between May 3 and Wednesday, state police in Indiana reported. One roller was 6 inches by 74 inches, and the other two were 4 inches by 74 inches, according to police.
