Two men have been charged with breaking into a garage owned by Dennis Richards, of Marion Center, along Route 403 and stealing numerous tools, a saw and a radiator.
Scott Lute, 20, of Dixonville, and John Putt Jr., 21, of Commodore, are accused of breaking in and stealing the goods between March 1 and 31, according to state police.
Troopers at Indiana charged each of them on Tuesday with a first-degree felony count of burglary and a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft, according to reports.
After preliminary arraignment, District Judge George Thachik allowed them to remain free without posting bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for June 25.
DERRY TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY
State police in Greensburg reported a 73-year-old Indiana County man impersonated a public servant near Pavilion 1 at Keystone State Park at 7:20 p.m. April 29. Police did not name the man or offer further details.
William Landis reported to state police that someone damaged the brick siding of his house along Traction Avenue with eggs between 7 p.m. May 17 and 3 p.m. May 19.
Troopers at Greensburg gave no estimate of the loss.

Gun transfer violation
State police reported a 34-year-old woman was blocked from buying a gun by the Pennsylvania Instant Check System on March 13 at Bee’s Guns at Route 286 and County Road.
Troopers at Kiski Valley are investigating the incident as a criminal offense but have yet to file charges. Police withheld the suspect’s name.
