An intruder broke into David Ciocca’s residence, 2241 Nowrytown Road, and stole $3,000 from a safe between 9 a.m. June 10 and 10 a.m. June 11, state police at Indiana reported Saturday.
Brandy Repko, of New Derry, was held at Westmoreland County Jail after being stopped for traffic violations and presenting false identification, court records show.
Troopers halted Repko, 33, at 8:11 p.m. June 11 on Route 982 at Chestnut Street, according to a state police news release. Investigators later filed a criminal complaint charging Repko with a misdemeanor count of presenting false identification to a law enforcement officer and two summary traffic violations.
Repko was taken before District Judge Mark Bilik, in Bradenville, for preliminary arraignment and was incarcerated when she was unable to post $10,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
A bullet lodged in the second floor of a house owned by Mary Hudak and her son, John Hudak, along Maple Street, on June 9, according to state police.
Troopers at Indiana estimated the damage at $100 and classified the incident as an act of criminal mischief.
No one was said to be injured.
