Attempted burglary

Paul Kornfeld, of 145 Jackson St., told state police at Indiana someone tried to gain entry to his residence between 7 and 11:15 p.m. Monday.

Police said the would-be burglar caused $100 damage.


Attempted break-in

State police at Indiana are investigating an attempted forcible entry into the Green Township Municipal Building, 1492 Route 240.

Police said someone tried to get into the building Tuesday or Wednesday by prying at and pushing against a man door.


Officials of the 4C Coal Company told state police at Indiana someone stole a bulldozer track pad from a mining site in Green Township.

Police said the track pad was taken between June 11 and Thursday.


Drug violation

State police at Indiana did not identify a 22-year-old male from Homer City who was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Friday at 88 Two Lick Road.

Police said troopers were investigating a report of a wanted person being at that location. The male ran out a back door of the residence but was apprehended.

Police said he then gave troopers a false name. He was also under the influence of alcohol and in possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

He was charged with giving a false ID, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Criminal mischief

State police at Indiana said someone smashed a window in a vehicle owned by James Bertuzzi, 63, along Route 580.

Police said the criminal mischief happened Thursday night or Friday morning.
