Criminal mischief

A white male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and shorts pushed over a granite headstone at Shoemaker Monuments, 493 Philadelphia St., at 3:28 a.m. Thursday, according to Indiana Borough police.

Anyone with information on the criminal mischief is asked to call Indiana police at (724) 349-2121.


White Township


State police at Indiana are investigating the theft of ammunition and four guns belonging to Amy Altimus, of Indiana, and taken from a residence along East Pike. The guns and ammo were stolen between Sept. 27, 2007, and Thursday, according to police.

The missing firearms are a Stevens Savage .22 Hornet; a Ruger Mark 2 .22; a Winchester Model 94 NRA Centennial .30-30; and a Colt Python .357 Magnum.

Corruption of minor

State police at Indiana said a female suspect is alleged to have sold and provided marijuana to a 14-year-old male from Indiana along Independence Lane.

Police said the corruption of minors incident happened between 5 and 9 p.m. Monday.

Burrell Township

Retail theft

State police at Indiana charged Ryan Doak, 31, of Clymer, with retail theft.

Police said Doak stole an air conditioning unit from the Walmart store Wednesday.
