Lost property

Indiana Area School District teacher Keri Marshall, of Cherry Tree, reported to state police that she lost her diamond engagement ring somewhere on the grounds at Ben Franklin Elementary School.


Bicycle stolen

A red bicycle was taken from 20 S. Sixth St. sometime between 6 p.m. Wednesday and noon Thursday, according to borough police.


Resisting arrest

Alexander Gray, 18, of Osceola Mills, was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, underage drinking and retail theft following an incident early Saturday morning at Giant Eagle Express, 435 S. Seventh St., according to borough police. Police said Gray was seen stealing an item from the store, and when an officer tried to take him into custody, he fled, leading officers on a foot chase up Seventh Street.


Public drunkenness

Borough police said they cited Patrick Reese, 24, of Blairsville, for public drunkenness. Police said they found Reese to be intoxicated along the 200 block of Philadelphia Street on Saturday night. He was temporarily placed in Indiana County Jail, police said.



Simple assault

A 20-year-old inmate incarcerated at SCI Pine Grove allegedly punched a corrections officer during an altercation Sunday evening, according to state police in Indiana. Police said the incident began when the officer ordered the inmate to return to his cell. The inmate, who was not identified by police, refused and ran up to the officer and struck his head, according to police. Police said the investigation is continuing.


Disorderly conduct

State police in Indiana said they cited Walter Swalga III, 38, of Clarksburg, and Chad Lorelli, 39, of Clune, with disorderly conduct. Police said the men were cited following a fight between the two early Sunday morning at McIntyre Inn, 2371 McIntyre Road.



Criminal mischief

Someone scratched the paint on 11 vehicles parked at the Hillside Apartments sometime between 11:30 a.m. Thursday and 2:35 p.m. Friday, according to state police in Indiana.




A go-kart belonging to William Dunmire, 86, of Juneau Road, was stolen sometime prior to 9 p.m. Thursday, according to state police in Punxsutawney.




Cutting torches belonging to Harvey Brncik, of Home, were stolen from the home of a friend earlier this month, according to state police in Indiana.

Police said the torches were taken between Sept. 1 and 16.




Someone entered the home of Steven Bell, 29, of 529 Mercer Hill Road, and stole three handguns, according to state police at the Kiski Valley station.

Police said the burglary occurred between Aug. 22 and Sunday.
