Public drunkenness

Indiana police said Khalid Alsharif, of Indiana, was observed yelling profanities in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street and kicking the wall of the Indiana Theater and a trash can on the sidewalk at 2:56 a.m. today.

Alsharif was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct and was placed in the Indiana County Jail, police said.

Disorderly conduct

State police at Indiana did not identify the two male teens involved in an incident at 11:46 a.m. Wednesday at Indiana Area High School, along North Fifth Street.

Police said a 16-year-old boy from Shelocta slapped and punched a 16-year-old boy from Indiana in the school cafeteria.

The teen from Shelocta was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment, according to police.


Criminal mischief

State police at Indiana said a Ford Explorer, owned by Kristen Gibbons, 24, was damaged while it was parked Wednesday night or Thursday morning at 149 Second Ave., Heilwood.

Police said someone hit the vehicle with a hatchet or axe.
