Disorderly conduct

Indiana University of Pennsylvania police arrested Robert Bender, 24, of Indiana, for urinating in public along West Avenue at 2:17 a.m. Friday.

Police said that during the arrest, Caleb Collier, 19, of Indiana, attempted to interfere with police. Collier yelled obscenities and caused a disturbance.

Collier was arrested and taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center and then to the Indiana County Jail, where he made threats to an IUP officer, according to police. Collier was charged with public drunkenness, underage drinking, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats and obstruction of law.

Bender was cited for urination in public and public drunkenness.


Prohibited weapon

Indiana police observed Trevor Reed, 21, of Seneca, highly intoxicated along the 500 block of Philadelphia Street at 1:41 a.m. Wednesday.

When Reed was taken into custody, officers found a set of brass knuckles in his possession.He was charged with possession of a prohibited offensive weapon and public drunkenness.


Marijuana possession

Indiana police said a male was observed acting suspiciously at 1:11 a.m. Wednesday along the 500 block of Gompers Avenue. Police said the male was identified as Landon Harrar, 23, of Harrisburg.

Police said Harrar had a pipe containing marijuana.

He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Alcohol violations

Police at Indiana University of Pennsylvania cited Nicholas Kehyari, 20, of Mount Airy, Md., with underage drinking and disorderly conduct following a disturbance at 12:04 a.m. Nov. 16 in the lobby of the Delaney Hall dormitory.

Online court records show Kehyari pleaded guilty to the charges in Indiana District Court and paid $614 in fines and costs of prosecution.


Vehicle damaged

A male victim, who was not identified by Indiana police, said his Toyota Echo was vandalized Saturday or Sunday while parked in a private lot along the first block of South Fifth Street.


Conemaugh Township



A burglar forced open a back door to gain entrance to the William Bowers residence along Patriot Road between Nov. 19 and 26.

State police at Indiana said the burglar took prescription drugs and coins valued at $900.


Young Township



Harold Filler, of Homer City, told state police at Indiana someone removed the fuel cap and oil filler cap of his Chevrolet Blazer while it was parked along the 3000 block of McIntyre Road between Nov. 23 and Saturday.Police said someone also scratched and dented a front fender of the vehicle and may have damaged the SUV’s fuel line.


Washington Township


Pills stolen

State police at Indiana are investigating the theft of 40 pain pills from a medicine chest in a residence at 259 Spence Road. Police said the pills were taken on three occasions between Nov. 14 and 16.

Police identified the victim of the theft only as a 63-year-old male, of Indiana.
