Drug manufacturing

A New Florence man was arrested Friday and charged with drug and weapons offenses.

State police at Greensburg said a St. Clair Township officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 56, two miles east of Route 711, at 10:35 a.m. Friday. The officer saw a loaded shotgun near the driver, Christopher Adams Sr., 28.

Police said Adams was secured and a search of the vehicle found evidence of suspected methamphetamine manufacture on the rear seat of the vehicle.

A state police lab team was called to the scene and another search of the entire vehicle found numerous items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, according to police.

Investigators also recovered a handgun, ammunition and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle.

Adams was charged with drug manufacturing with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a prohibited offensive weapon and carrying a firearm without a license.
