A dog reported stolen Sunday morning from 603 Penn View Road was later recovered from the residence of John Huber, 42, and Crystal Closson, 23, of Blairsville, state police reported.
Troopers at Indiana said Huber and Closson took the dog, a brown miniature boxer named Sally, while delivering newspapers.
Personnel records at Indiana Printing & Publishing Co., the parent company of The Indiana Gazette, show Huber and Closson have not been employed by The Gazette.
Police did not identify the property owner who reported the theft. Online court records showed no charges have yet been filed.
Colin Long, of Medlar Drive, told state police that someone damaged the front door of his residence between May 26 and June 4.
Troopers estimated the damage at $30.
A motorist pumped $46.97 of gasoline into a red Chevrolet Blazer at 8:46 p.m. May 31 and drove away without making payment at Kwik Fill, state police at Indiana reported.

State police at Kittanning discovered a 2004 Yamaha 650 Royal Star motorcycle at 5:48 p.m. Monday over an embankment along Sunken Valley Road near State Route 2003.
Troopers said anyone with information about the motorcycle should contact the Kittanning station at (724) 543-2011.
Someone got through a chain-link fence surrounding the property of a business along Route 210 at about 1 a.m. Monday and stole 200 feet of copper wire, according to state police
