Indiana University of Pennsylvania police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who damaged a state vehicle at 12:05 p.m. Monday in the south parking lot of the university’s cogeneration plant.

Police said a white female driving a burgundy vehicle with a roof rack hit a parked IUP vehicle and left the scene without providing any information

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run is asked to call the campus police at (724) 357-2141.



State police at Indiana are investigating a burglary at the David Champion Jr. residence at 299 Main St.

Police said a Ruger 9 mm pistol is missing.

The burglary happened between April 1 and Tuesday, according to police.

Scattering rubbish

Someone dumped bags of garbage on property along Tide Road owned by Northern Star Generation Services Co., according to state police at Indiana.

The rubbish was scattered there between July 16 and Wednesday, police said.
