Witnesses told police that the driver of a blue Chrysler PT Cruiser fled at 12:31 p.m. Saturday after the vehicle hit a metal light pole at 130 Stone Ridge Road. According to the report, the motorist reached the dead end of the road, backed the vehicle into a driveway to turn around, and hit the pole.
A neighbor confronted the driver — described only as a white man wearing glasses, accompanied by a white woman with brown hair — about the damage, police said.
Investigators did not identify the owner of the damaged property.
