Citations issued

Indiana Borough police reported Michael Brown, 35, of Indiana, was cited with public drunkenness and failure to report a change of address or name at 4:04 p.m. Sunday after officers responded to an incident at 11:05 Oakland Ave.

DUI

Borough police charged Sara Smith, 38, of Indiana, with driving under the influence and a summary traffic offense following a traffic accident at 4:26 p.m. Jan. 11 on the 400 block of South Sixth Street.

Police filed a complaint March 13 at Indiana District Court.

A hearing date has not been set.

White Township

Assault

A 29-year-old Indiana man is under investigation for a report of indecent assault and theft reported at 1:13 a.m. Saturday by a 15-year-old girl at Brady Estates.

State police withheld the suspect’s name. No charges have yet been filed.

Theft

A Beaver County woman is suspected of failing to pay a bill for renting a room from March 5 to 9 at Best Western Hotel along Plaza Drive, state police reported.

Troopers reported a 25-year-old woman from Aliquippa left the hotel without paying $89.90 due.

Somebody stole 34 8-inch black letters from the event message board at the Rustic Lodge along Oakland Avenue, state police reported. The theft was discovered at 12:35 a.m. March 2.

John George reported the theft of a package from the porch at his residence at 4 p.m. March, according to state police. Investigators learned that a door-to-door salesman driving a red Ford Explorer with New Jersey license plate N23HNG was in the neighborhood during the time the package was believed to be on the porch.

Police asked anyone with information to phone the Indiana station at (724) 357-1960.

Center Township

Endangerment

State police reported a Homer City-area woman faces charges after allowing her young children to leave home while unattended. According to investigators, a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl left a house on Cherry Lane at 4:50 p.m. March 11, wandered away on the driveway and walked into the middle of the road before a passer-by stopped and rendered assistance. Charges have not yet been filed.

West Wheatfield Township

Burglary

Neil Boring told state police that an intruder stole an Echo brand chain saw, a Bowtech bow, a Stevenson 12-gauge shotgun and a Remington .22-caliber rifle between Feb. 12 and 14 from an undisclosed location in the township.

Derry Township, Westmoreland County

Vandalism

Someone damaged property and tossed some items into a pond at the Kingston Veterans and Sportsmen Club along Kingston Road between noon Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday, state police reported.

Troopers at Greensburg gave no other details, and asked anyone with information about the incident to phone (724) 832-3288.

Young Township, Jefferson County

Theft

A 33-year-old Punxsutawney man stole a Nintendo Switch Pro controller from the Walmart store along Route 119 at 9:27 a.m. March 3, state police reported.

Troopers at Punxsutawney recovered the stolen controller from the suspect’s home and returned it to the store, according to the report.

Charges against the suspect could not be confirmed.
