Conemaugh Township

Youth cited

State police responded to a report of a disturbance at 9:19 p.m. Saturday on Coaltown Road and discovered an intoxicated 17-year-old boy at the scene, according to a report.

Troopers withheld the boy’s name and address, and cited him with underage drinking.

Burrell Township

Theft

A Westmoreland County man has been charged with stealing merchandise from Walmart in Resort Plaza along Route 22.

State police at Indiana charged Joseph Charles Simons, of Jeannette, with a misdemeanor count of retail theft in a complaint filed Tuesday at Blairsville District Court.

Investigators said Simons, 30, stole unspecified goods between 10:45 and 11:20 a.m. April 24. A hearing date has not been set.

East Mahoning Township

Burglary attempt

State police reported somebody damaged the frame on the front door of a house at 22260 Deckers Point Road.

The owner, Jenna Mihalich, of Marion Center, told police it happened at 9:41 p.m. April 29.

Troopers at Indiana asked anyone who knows about the incident to phone police at (724) 357-1960.

Banks Township

DUI

A 17-year-old boy from Glen Campbell was suspected of driving under the influence at a traffic stop at 11:48 p.m. Thursday on Hemlock Lake Road at Brickell Road, state police reported.

Troopers at Punxsutawney reported charges have not yet been filed.

Buffington Township

Mischief

Robert Palesch, of Homer City, drove a utility task vehicle (side-by-side UTV) on the yard at Ronnie Thompson’s property, 996 Stiles Road, at 4 p.m. May 22, state police reported.

Troopers charged Palesch, 57, with a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief in a complaint filed Tuesday at Homer City District Court.

A hearing is scheduled for July 17.
